This quadruple bill includes Alston’s world premiere, An Italian in Madrid, set to Scarlatti sonatas. The influence on Scarlatti of flamenco continues Alston’s fascination with the fusion of different cultures and styles. Flamenco has links with Kathak and special guest artist in “An Italian” will be BBC Young Dancer finalist Vidya Patel.
